Cindy Mangrum, LPN
Cindy Mangrum is the Executive Director at Providence Place & The Gardens. A Lebanon, TN native, Cindy knew at an early age she was called to help others. She worked as a candy striper while attending Friendship Christian School and later graduated from Wilson County Vocational School of Nursing at McFarland Hospital. Cindy has worked at University Medical Center, Donelson Hospital, and spent 13 years in the home health industry. In 2000, she began working in assisted livings, and in 2010, Cindy joined the team at The Gardens as the Clinical Director. In 2016, Cindy became the Executive Director for both The Gardens & Providence Place.
Cindy has been married to her high school sweetheart for 36 years. She is a member of Berea Church of Christ where she has served as a Sunday school teacher, VBS coordinator, and worked with the youth group.

Mitch Holland is the Assistant Director at Providence Place Assisted Living and The Gardens at Providence Place. Mitch is one of Providence Place’s first employees since its opening in 2000. Mitch has been the dishwasher, grounds keeper, receptionist, bus driver and caregiver. He is now on the business side and is responsible for the daily operations of both buildings, and he also manages accounts at three GoodWorks Unlimited communities.
A graduate of Mt. Juliet High School, Mitch received his Bachelor of Science degree in Recording Industry Management with a Business Minor from Middle Tennessee State University. His love and talent for music has made him the bassist of two bands during his high school and college days, and his compassion for seniors and his humor has always made Mitch a wonderful addition to the communities he serves.
Community Relations Director
Jeannie is the Community Relations Director at Providence Place Assisted Living and The Gardens at Providence Place Memory Care.
Jeannie has been with the company for two years as the Administrative Assistant at The Gardens. Jeannie began as the Community Relations Director in June of 2016. Having cared for a family member with Alzheimer’s, Jeannie understands what prospective family members are going through.
Although born in Alabama, Jeannie has called Tennessee home since 1995. Prior to joining The Gardens, Jeannie worked in Human Resources for over 25 years. She has been married to her best friend since 1973. She is a member of the Center Chapel Church of Christ. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her family. She has two precious grandchildren. She also enjoys photography, playing cards, board games and spending time and having fun with friends and family.
Activity Director at Providence Place
Susan Brewington is the Activity Director at Providence Place of Mt. Juliet Assisted Living. A Lebanon High School graduate, Susan was a Supervisor at Toshiba America for over twenty years. Susan has been with Providence Place for four years and recently became the Activity Director.
Susan enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren, singing in a spiritual band, and bringing joy to the elderly. She serves at her church by helping out in the nursery and toddler class. In her spare time, Susan’s hobbies include taking pictures of nature, planting flowers, fishing, walking, going to parks, and taking scenic rides. Everyone who meets Susan thinks she is a joy to work with! She truly loves what she does, which is contagious to those around her.
Activity Director at The Gardens
Yvonne Miller is the Activity Director at The Gardens. Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Yvonne graduated from Santa Fe Community College in 1981. Working in the healthcare industry for over thirty years, Yvonne has spent time in hospitals, dialysis centers, and home care agencies. She also had a breakfast and lunch diner for ten years in Palm Beach for the Planning and Zoning building.
Yvonne cared for her loving mother for thirteen years after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. In 2010, she moved to Tennessee and began working at The Gardens as the Activity Director.

Lisa Thorne, FNP-BC
In-House Nurse Practitioner
Lisa is a middle Tennessee native who completed her undergraduate degree at Austin Peay State University. After graduating with her Bachelors in Nursing, Lisa’s nursing experience focused primarily on Neuroscience Intensive Care, as well as Critical Care and cath lab. She then attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN where she obtained her Masters in Nursing. Lisa has been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2009, and in 2013 she started her own practice, Senior Health Professionals. Lisa visits our building once a week and is available for emergencies.
Julie Stephens is the Dietary Supervisor at Providence Place of Mt. Juliet Assisted Living. Julie has worked in the food industry since she was 16 years old, but she spent 20 years in the security industry installing security systems. Julie joined the team at Providence Place four years ago, and she has been serving our residents ever since.
Julie is proud of her family and especially her grandparents, as they were a big part of her life growing up. Her grandfather fostered her love for the outdoors, including the mountains in North Carolina where she spent her summers. In her spare time, Julie enjoys reading, hiking, and camping.
